Key programming not working on 2009 and earlier vehicles

For these vehicles, only a brand new key will work. Used key programming is not possible. Cheap Chinese keys rarely work thus it is suggested to purchase from a reputable location or a Land Rover dealership. The tool key programming algorithms have proven reliable thus its always key related.
