Can a regular NON-BT (non Bluetooth) made for a specific vehicle platform be used on another?

These earlier units firmwares are platform specific. A unit made for a Discovery 3 cannot be used on a Range Rover L322. The firmware can, however, be changed to the desired platform when transferring a unit. One cannot change the firmware platform unless a transfer of ownership is purchased.

Can the Offroad, Access or Highway height(s) be changed?
